1st ANNUAL SONG CAMP GETAWAY
We’ve all just come home from the 1st Annual BMF Song Camp Getaway for Adults and, if we may say so ourselves, it was a success! Campers enjoyed 3 days and nights of music, nature and community in a stunning mid-century motor lodge in Hillsdale, NY.
The Fishbowl
At the beginning of the Getaway, campers picked a mystery prompt from a fishbowl and were tasked to finish a song using the prompts by the end of the trip. Throughout the weekend they would break out into the field to write their next masterpiece.
Some of the prompts were:
Write a song that is the narrative behind your favorite painting
Write a song about a true story, but tell it backwards
Write a song about recognizing the person who soothes you
