SLEEPAWAY SONG CAMP 2026
The first-ever Sleepaway Song Camp (Getaway) for Adults was a huge success. Campers enjoyed 3 days and nights of music, nature, workshops, delicious food, and community in a breathtaking mid-century motor lodge in Hillsdale, NY. There is no question we will be doing this again!
Fishbowl Prompts
At check-in, campers had to draw a song prompt from a fishbowl and were tasked with finishing a song using their prompt by the end of the camp. A song prompt might have been:
Write a song that mentions a tube sock, that green nightgown, and the missing Honda keys.
Write a song about a true story, but tell it backwards
Write a song that’s a prescription for yourself.
Write a song that takes place in the kind of forest that has an escalator. (Do not mention the escalator)
Write a song about feeling ambushed by time.
