Joining a BMF rock camp is:
• an opportunity to dust off an instrument if you used to play
• a great way to learn the ins and outs of playing in a band
• a chance to play music with others even if you have no experience*.
Throughout the year BMF offers 10-week adult band camps, usually album- or band-specific, and sometimes other variations, like the very popular entry-level 101 Camp*. Every camp is led by an instructor/facilitator.
Camps meet once a week for 2 1/2 hrs for 10 weeks. In the end, your band puts on a show for family/friends/the bmf community in a local venue. It's inspiring throughout. A blast, really. You can expect to make new like-minded friends, just when you least expected.
As far as genres go, offerings run the gamut. We've been offering about 20 adult camps annually for 14 years.

Camps are pretty self-selecting. For example, beginners don't tend to sign up for things like YES or STEELY DAN. And at the same time, seasoned players typically don't sign up for a RAMONES camp.
